james bond continues

I was cooking and manu was playing in the living room ,I could hear him jumping ..

Suddenly he got excited and called me "mommy look at me ..see ,come here now..."

I went to the living room and there he was all ready to show me how he could jump from the sofa and before I realised what he was up to he flipped and turned his body and landed with his forehead on the ground ...

Guess what he did not cry...I could see him in pain ,but he wanted to keep a straight face.I told him it was ok to cry if it hurt him ,but he said no mommy I am smart and strong because I drink so much milk ,I don't get hurt and spider man and James bond don't hurt themselves when they fall...

sigh! sometimes what we tell children gets back to us and we cannot say much because we create that world for them ,guess I should stop telling him he'll be strong like spiderman if he drinks milk .

Miss Nipunni

manu loves his teacher..

mommy miss nipunni really likes me ( he was saying that with a big tongue out and a shy smile) 

you know she called me in front of the class and showed me to all children and said this is how all of you should dress up for tomorrows group picture .He had a gleam in his eyes .His tiny world has so many small little joys ...god bless an let the small joys always brighten his life.

James Bond

we wathced the latest Bond movie-Quantum of solace and manu enjoyed the movie ...
he was fascinated with Bond ...
mommy see he can jump from the roof and he dosen`t hurt himself ,and they flew and the parachute opened only in the end ...
he was bewildered.
Scary for me... I had to remind him that it was only a movie and that the actors were just playing a role ,like he played the role of a pig in his school drama ,he is actually not a pig ...
Don`t know how much went into his head .
I made him jump from a high wall and his leg acually hurt when he landed ,so u see james bond also gets hurt like u when he actually jumps ..hope something went in his world of imagination.
he nodded but he did look confused...

Neil Armstrong

Manu was reading a book and all of a sudden he saw Neil armstrongs picture and stopped. Mommy he is Neil na ...the man who reached moon first .
yes:-) i smiled
Mommy was there a race? Was his rocket the fastest ?
all i could do was smile at the cute little observation.(Their world is so simple)

accomplishments

he has started reading pretty well and is doing additions,subractions and skip counting ...

why is there no one like me ?

manu:-mommy why is there no one in the world who looks just like me ,why are there not too many manus ?

me:-why do u want too many manus ?

manu:- no no i want many smarans ,kazukis,mommys ,daddys...

and dinocos as well( name of his new car)

me:- why?

manu:- so that I can play with as many people and cars that I like

manage my cough

i had a bad cold this morning ,decided not to go office ,manu woke up and saw me sneezing and coughing ...

mommy I can manage my cough ,don't worry about me :-)

lovely kid ,he is so caring 

why is everything round

manu-mommy why is everything round-the sun,the earth,the apple,the orange ,the thing inside the eye (he couldn't remmeber pupil) 

me-interesting one ...what do u think ,why could everything be round 

manu and i are  looking for the answer ...will post it as soon as we find one ;-)

why is the black forest so black ?

we were in bad antogast walking through the black forests when manu asked the question. 

me-hmmmm what do u think why is it so dark here 

manu-because the trees are so close together 

can there be train tracks on the sun ?

manu asked me this question,these days I am putting back the question to him so that he tries to find the answer himself and most of the times i find he knows the right answer -

he answered-i don't think so because they will melt there :-)
